Our downstairs furnace conked out at the beginning of winter, blowing just cold air. After calling multiple other metro area HVAC companies, we grew frustrated with $1000-3000 quotes just to clean it, THEN see what the issue was (apparently nothing could be done until it was cleaned first--but again, totally our fault for skimping on maintenance, that's on us obviously, but here we are). Given that it could be something serious, we didn't want to throw money at it if replacement was going to be needed anyway, so this was frustrating that an actual diagnosis of the issue first. Thank goodness we found Eden Air! Angel came over and--where no other company could even get it started up--got it working for us that night. He didn't try to give us "the talk" about the $$ we should put into it, just got it working. The next day, it stopped working again (which we expected it to be a bigger issue) and Angel came back over and dove deeper into it. Unlike other companies, Angel was able to determine--without a massive cleaning first--that the heat exchanger was indeed cracked. (I saw it and verified it myself). Bad news for us, but at least we didn't dump $1-3K into it! Eden gave a reasonable and competitive quote for a quality Rheem furance and Angel and Zeke installed it on the weekend for us (which was great because of our busy two-parent working schedule with kids). Furnance is quiet, works great and we're confident that we've finally found a good HVAC company we can rely on. Don't throw your money at these big box HVAC guys in the shiny vans and the doom & gloom scenarios--go with a company that doesn't try to inflate its prices and service charges, but that still offers quality, licensed HVAC service. Also, super-great customer service from Angel, Zeke, Kevin, and Jennifer the whole time. We'll be back! TLDR: This company doesn't give you the high-price, sales pitch BS; instead they actually find and fix problems with competitive rates, not insane numbers.
